ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR BACHELOR OF EDUCATION (B.Ed.) PROGRAMME JANUARY, 2024

The Indira Gandhi National Open University will be admitting students for B.Ed. Programme, batch commencing from January 2024 through Entrance Test to be held all over the country on 07 January, 2024

ELIGIBILITY: BACHELOR OF EDUCATION PROGRAMME (B.Ed.)

Candidates with:

(a) At least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree and/or in the Master's Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/ Commerce/ Humanities. Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualifications equivalent thereto

AND

(b) The following categories are eligible to be students of B.Ed. (ODL):

(i) Trained in-service teachers in elementary education.

(ii) Candidates who have completed a NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to face mode.

The reservation and relaxation of 5% marks in minimum eligibility will be provided to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PWD/EWS candidates as per the rules of the Central government.

The reservation to Kashmiri Migrants and War widow candidates will be provided as per University Rules.

AGE: There is no age bar for admission into the Programmes of the University

ADMISSION CRITERIA & RESERVATION:

BACHELOR OF EDUCATION PROGRAMME (B.Ed.)- Admission to this programme is merit based. (Nodal Regional Centre wise merit list will he prepared).

REGISTRATION: Submission of online application form for B.Ed. Programmes can be undertaken online at www.ignou.ac.in from 12" December, 2023. Centres for Examination will be allotted as per the availability of the seats.

EXAMINATION FEE: Rs. 1000/-should be remitted through payment gateway, using a Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by Banks in India or through online Banking.
